About Me

Marley Svoboda (she/her) is a visual artist primarily working in the mediums of film and video games. Her body of work often touches on feminist themes and stands against sexual abuse. She is in her third year studying Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She was awarded “Outstanding Contribution by a Newcomer” and the Johnny Carson Opportunity scholarship. She has been a member of the Dean’s List every semester enrolled. She works as a content creator for the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts. Recently, she finished up a video production internship with Infosys in Bangalore, India. Currently, she is producing four short films. Three of these she will Assistant Direct, and the fourth she will Direct. She has assisted in the back-end coding of three video games. In her free time, she leads the filmmaking club Cinema 16 and the peer mentorship program within the Emerging Media Arts major.
